For all of those who may have read (or not) the Inheritance Cycle (Previously the Inheritance Trilogy) most likely have not memorized the ancient language, or know of all the places, and so forth. So to save time, and to have the roleplay played out correctly, for extra information I highly suggest you check out www.shurtugal.com for all of your Eragon needs. The Ancient Language info is from shurtugal as well. ;]

The Empire;;
Uru'Baen; Uru'Baen is currently the capitol of the Empire and the new leader resides there. The city itself is large, very much so, and dark. Trade does flourish here, though with such heavy taxes, many of the citizens are stricken with poverty and ridden with fear of the new leader.

Gil'Ead; A city in Northern Alagaesia, Gil'ead is home to a large portion of the Empire's army. A fort is as well located here, containing the barracks of Empire soldiers. Prisons are also located here and are well known for being quite hard to escape, being heavily, and well, guarded. The city is the closest of the Empire's to the elves as well.

Carvahall; The ruin of this once thriving town still sits. Little is left at this point after the battle that raged within. The paths are being overtaken by weeds, and the wreckage of the houses, by vines. None seem to live here any more, and rarely do travellers ever pass through the shell of a town.

Teirm; An enormous port city, Teirm lies south of The Spin, and is encircled by a large white wall, a hundred feet high, thirty feet thick. The buildings slowly rise in height as you near the city center, the highest buildings being there. Much trade and commerce is dealt here, and many travelers and traders pass through.

The Spine; A mountain range, deadly and avoided, is located in Western Alagaesia, touching the coast. Few ever venture into this dangerous territory, and fewer emerge unscathed or sane. The soldiers of the Empire avoid this part at all costs. Quite the creepy area, it is now emptier than ever.

Beor Mountains;;
Beor Mountains; The Beor Mountains is serving as a place of refuge, and the last hideout of the Varden. It is located in the South-Eastern part of Alagaesia, and is home to Farthen Dur, and enormous, hollowed mountain used as a city. The mountains of the Beors stretch high into the sky and eventually fade from sight as they reach for the heavens.

Farthen Dur; Farthen Dur is again being used as the main place for the Varden, now with fewer than ever, bruised and battered from the last bout with the Empire. Located within a large, hollowed mountain, many dwarves live within this great city, which serves as the dwarven capitol, which has since been housing the Varden Army.

Surda;;
Abernon; The capitol of Surda, which currently is without a leader, Abernon is located, as said, in Surda, which lies south of the Empire. Surda itself is a large, free nation which typically is run by a King or Queen. The army of Surda has also been known to aid the Varden in times of great need as well, and are allies.

The Burning Plains; The Burning Plains, a place straddling the borders of both the Empire, and Surda, has, to date, witnessed two great battles. The land is now more devastated than ever, fires still smolder beneath the ground, and the lasting remnants of the Battle of the Burning Plains are still present, the land being scattered with the occasional skeleton, and rusting weapons and armor.

Du Weldenvarden;;
Ellesmera; Within the Du Weldenvarden, the hidden nation of the elves, lies their capitol Ellesmera. Many of the elves reside here, though their numbers are fewer than they once were. The forests still flourish, though not to the extent as before. The sounds of war now echo through the woods, as the elves prepare to protect their now endangered homeland.

Elsewhere;;
Hadarac Desert; The Hadarac Desert is an enourmous desert, as one may have guessed from the name, and is located in the middle of Alagaesia. The only inhabitants of this harsh, hot, and dry desert are the occasional tribe of humans, and other dangerous folk. Only the experienced who travel through survive, the days burning hot, and the nights, freezing. Water is near non-existant, and the bits that are scattered, are hidden beneath the sands.
